The First Run Joy brings a meaningful new chapter to Paige Pierce’s signature lineup. Named in honor of Paige’s grandmother, Joyce, the Joy carries a personal story while fitting naturally alongside the rest of her disc collection.
On the course, the Joy offers a smooth, controllable flight built around glide and touch. Players can expect an easy-release disc that carries forward, holds workable lines, and finishes with a soft, dependable fade. Its slight turn allows for gentle turnovers, hyzer-flips, and straight shots with minimal effort, making it approachable for newer players while still giving experienced throwers the finesse and control they look for in technical situations.
DBL Helix Test Notes... the Joy from Discraft is a really solid midrange. I found the first runs to be slightly more overstable than the proto Joy. Its a point and shoot kind of disc that likes to hold whatever line you place it on. If I had to pick a Discraft disc most similar to the ever popular Buzzz while offering a completely different and much smoother hand feel, the Joy would be it. Compared to the Malita the Joy offers more high speed stability.

Every disc purchased is individually bagged and shipped in a box, no bubble mailers for this precious cargo! T-shirts and Ringtails may come in bubble mailers if ordered by themselves.
