The Fossil is Ricky Wysocki’s prototype putt and approach disc, designed as a slow-flying overstable option. DBL Helix Test notes... The new Ricky Fossil is a unique feeling approach disc. Its medium depth and the rim feels bulky in the hand, similar to Innova's Pig. However the Fossil is more rounded in the top half of the rim than the Pig offering a very unique hand feel. With regard to flight the Fossil is slow and reliably overstable without being too beefy. Stability is more like a regular zone, not Zone OS. And it is definitely slower than a Zone. Also I'm not convinced that the glide is quite a 1 as it certainly doesn't remind me of a Berg. The plastic is kinda rubbery while still being very firm and reminds me alot like Innova's R Pro plastic. Is the Fossil a Discraft Pig then, yes in regard to the flight, no in regard to handfeel. Grab yourself a Fossil to try, your sure to either love it or hate it.
