The Captain is a great introduction to distance drivers for beginners and a predictable understable disc for more experienced players. With surprising speed and controllable turn, the Captain can help players add distance over discs with similar rim sizes. Follow the Captain to new longer flights!
DBL Helix Test Notes...The Fuzion Orbit Captain is a max distance type of disc as it offers a big rim, plenty of mid flight turn and nice late flight stability. The Captain is seemingly a less popular mold in DD lineup as it is not always available. But wow does it fly great and go far. Sometimes I'm intimidated and annoyed by 13 speed discs as they can be very speed dependent and finicky. But the Captain felt easy to me, offering great distance on every throw. Of course if you are facing a headwind or have a 500ft arm this disc might not be for you. But for the majority of disc golfers the Captain will likely impress. Does your bag need a Captain?
