DBL Helix Test Notes:The Q-Line MD3 is a real joy to throw. When I first picked one up I was sure it was lighter weight and was surprised to find they were all 175g plus. I don't know why but the Q-line weight distribution to the rim feels even more noticeable in this MD3 than the Q-line drivers even. And boy do they fly great as well. Thrown flat they hold the line with with definite fade at the end. Compared to non-Q-line versions of the MD3 I would say the Q-line are a touch more overstable. While no one is trying to get max distance out of mid ranges I can share that 250-275 ft is my typical distance for mids. I played one round, using the MD3 multiple times and was easily hitting that distance without much effort at all. My best shots were when I released the Q-line MD3 with just a touch of anhyer and watch it push dead straight all the while standing up to flat and finishing with just a hint of fade. If you want a tried and true midrange with the added stability and distance you get from the Q-line, then this is your disc.
