Innova Halo Star Arachnid
The Arachnid is getting the Halo Star treatment. Already known as a stable, fast five-speed with surprising glide, Halo Star adds a little extra bite at the finish. Players can expect the same easy distance and workable flight that made the Arachnid an early favorite, now in a two-tone blend that makes it even harder to overlook.
DBL Helix Test Notes: The Halo Arachnid is a disc I really wanted to love. I bag a first run Fox and really enjoy its hand feel and big glide but I sometimes find myself wishing it was just a touch more torque resistant or overstable. That exactly what the Arachnid was advertised by Innova to be. Unfortunately in real world tests with the Halo variation, I discovered the Arachnid to be still surprisingly understable when thrown hard. I would put the flight numbers at 5-6-2-1 for the Halo Arachnid and 5-6-3-1 for the Fox as both mold seem to be more understable than there numbers suggest. With that being acknowledged then, the Arachnid is a fantastic understable mid that has incredible glide much like it sibling, the Fox. I expect this disc will be a favorite for many beginner and intermediate players.   Â
