Innova Star Arachnid
After an early limited rollout full of positive feedback, the Star Arachnid is now available for universal release. Like the Fox, the Arachnid feels fast for a Mid-Range and pushes forward with maximum glide.
But where the Fox is designed to turn easily, the Arachnid is built to stay straight under more power. It offers added torque resistance and a touch more finish at the end of the flight. If the Fox is the ideal high-glide Mid for beginners and intermediate players, the Arachnid fills a similar slot for players with more arm speed.
DBL Helix Test Notes: I was really looking forward to a more stable Fox. Per Innova's advertisement, the Arachnid was to be more torque resistant. However in the field, I was disappointed to discover almost no difference to the fox that I currently bag. I definitely wouldn't describe the Arachnid as torque resistant. It has easy mid flight turn very similar to the fox. On certain throws the Arachnid even seemed more understable mid flight than the fox. The one consistent difference however was in the low speed stability where the Arachnid seemed to consistently stable up and even fade more than the fox. Hand feel is so similar to the Fox that unmarked, you would have a hard time telling the difference. With all that being said, the Arachnid is a good understable mid than has very impressive glide and goes far. Is it different enough to warrant being its own mold, that's for you to decide.
